Do I have to have experience of LARP to participate?

No, you don't have to have LARPed before! We appreciate coming to your first LARP can be a bit nerve-wracking sometimes; even for people with experience of desk top RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons, roleplaying in costume for the first time can be both a thrill and and a bit strange! We'll make sure you get the information, support and help you need to have a blast at your first game.

We are a friendly bunch and welcome new players. Why join our Facebook group and say hello?

How often does Phoenix Reborn have events?

We run at least one event a year, but usually two. They typically take place between February and April, and between September and November. Dates for the next year are usually announce at the end of the current year.

What is the difference between playing and crewing?

Players roleplay their characters over the weekend. They are the protagonists of our story.
The crew make the event happen! From roleplaying all sorts of non-player characters, to dressing the set, to sitting in the crew room and swapping stories of the latest silly thing the players have done. The crew get to do a bit of everything. The crew are never asked to do anything they are uncomfortable with, just to help out in whatever ways they can.
If you are new to Phoenix Reborn, or LARP in general, crewing can be a good way to get into the game for the first time.
